Designed around your bedroom.

Corner wardrobes that make the room work

Give an underused bedroom corner a purpose. A bespoke corner wardrobe considers both walls, the way you move around the room and how you will reach the belongings stored inside.

Based in Bromsgrove, Stuart Crawford brings over 10 years of industry experience to homes across Worcestershire and the surrounding region.

Your room is the starting point

Useful access matters as much as capacity

A corner can offer valuable storage, but the layout needs to make it accessible. We look at the junction between the two sides, the opening arrangement and the depth of each section before agreeing a design.

A layout for both walls

The two sides do not have to be identical. Their proportions can be considered around your room, existing furniture and the storage you need.

Reaching the corner

We discuss how the corner area will be accessed and used. Items you reach for every day should have a practical place within the layout.

Doors & clearances

Opening doors and drawers need to work alongside the bed, adjacent cabinetry and room entrance. These clearances are part of the planning.

A connected bedroom

Coordinate the wardrobe with bedside tables or drawers where appropriate. Finishes, handles and visible details can help the whole room feel considered.

Bring the whole corner into view

The first conversation helps us understand the room and what you want to change. Any photographs or rough measurements are useful starting points; the design and specification are agreed around the actual space.

Useful details to share

  • Share photographs showing both walls and the adjoining room.
  • Note doors, windows, radiators and sockets nearby.
  • Think about what needs hanging space and what could sit on shelves.
  • Consider how the wardrobe will meet existing bedroom furniture.

Finish the design your way

Discuss knobs, handles, lighting and internal fittings alongside your furniture. These details affect how the wardrobe looks and works, and can be considered with the other finishes in your bedroom.

Your questions answered

Does a corner wardrobe have to be symmetrical?

No. The layout can be discussed around the available space on each wall. Access, proportions and the contents of each section guide the design.

Can you combine corner storage with other wardrobes?

Yes. A corner section can be considered as part of a wider fitted layout. We will review how the sections meet and how their doors and interiors will work together.

Do you need to move furniture out first?

The room needs to be clear where we are working. We will tell you exactly what needs moving before the installation date so there are no surprises on the morning.

Can you work with a room that is still being decorated?

Yes, and the order matters. It is usually best to fit the furniture before the final decorating so any making good is covered, but we will talk through the sequence for your project.

How do I know what storage I actually need?

Most people underestimate hanging and overestimate shelving. Part of the design visit is going through what you own and how you use it, so the layout suits reality rather than a generic split.
