Feature Walls

Give a room a considered focal point with a feature wall planned around its proportions. Texture and timber details can be discussed alongside fitted furniture or as an individual interior project.

Based in Bromsgrove, Stuart Crawford brings over 10 years of industry experience to homes across Worcestershire and the surrounding region.

Connect the wall to the room

The size and rhythm of a feature affect how it sits with doors, windows and furniture. We consider the whole wall and the finish you want before discussing the proposed materials and layout.

Texture & proportion

Explore the scale and spacing of visible details in relation to the room, including how the wall looks from the main viewing positions.

Furniture connections

A feature can relate to shelving, cabinetry or a media unit. Planning them together helps resolve edges, junctions and service access.

Materials & finish

Discuss colour, surface appearance and care. Material suitability depends on the wall conditions and intended location.

Plan your project

Photographs, approximate dimensions and a few ideas help us understand the space. We will discuss the proposed layout, materials and practical constraints before agreeing the scope and specification.

Useful details to share

  • Photograph the whole wall and adjacent room features.
  • Show sockets, switches and services that need access.
  • Bring examples that explain the texture or style you prefer.

Your questions answered

Can a feature wall be planned with a media unit?

Yes. We can consider the furniture and wall treatment together, including equipment, cables and any appliance requirements.

Can I discuss a feature wall without new fitted furniture?

Yes. Share your idea and the space involved so the scope, materials and practical requirements can be reviewed.

What finishes can I choose from?

Painted, sprayed and timber finishes are all available, along with a range of handles and internal fittings. We go through the options in the room itself during the design visit, where you can see them in the actual light.

How disruptive is the installation?

Fitting is done room by room and the space is protected while we work. Most single-room projects are installed in a few days, and we tidy as we go rather than leaving it all to the end.

Can lighting be built into the furniture?

Yes — internal lighting and sensor-operated strips can be designed in. It is worth raising early, because it affects how the carcassing is built and where cabling needs to run.
