Designed around your home.

Utility & Boot Rooms

Give laundry, footwear and outdoor essentials a place of their own. A multifunctional utility or boot room can organise the jobs and belongings that keep your household moving.

Based in Bromsgrove, Stuart Crawford brings over 10 years of industry experience to homes across Worcestershire and the surrounding region.

Your ideas are the starting point

Share the room, the problem you want to solve and the details that matter to you. Start with a free, no-obligation design consultation.

Make daily routines easier

Plan the room around what happens there: coming in from outdoors, sorting laundry, putting away cleaning supplies or storing bulky items. Useful access matters as much as cupboard capacity.

Laundry storage

Arrange cupboards and shelves around the appliances you plan to use, with their dimensions, ventilation and service access considered.

Coats & footwear

Discuss hanging space, shoe storage and a place to sit where the room permits.

Household essentials

Give larger equipment and smaller supplies appropriate spaces. Tell us what needs to be reached often and what should be stored securely.

Working surfaces

Consider a surface for sorting or folding, with a finish suited to the tasks and conditions in the room.

Plan your project

Photographs, approximate dimensions and a few ideas help us understand the space. We will discuss the proposed layout, materials and practical constraints before agreeing the scope and specification.

Useful details to share

  • Bring appliance dimensions and installation requirements.
  • Show the location of plumbing, sockets and access panels.
  • Discuss damp footwear and cleaning needs when choosing finishes.
  • Consider clear routes between doors and working areas.

Consider the finishing details

Knobs, handles and lighting can be considered alongside your main design. We can also discuss internal fittings and surfaces where they are relevant to the way your furniture will be used.

Your questions answered

Can one room combine laundry and boot storage?

Yes. We can explore separate areas within the same room, considering clean laundry, outdoor belongings and the space available for each task.

Can furniture be planned around existing appliances?

Yes. Share the models and dimensions. Required clearances, ventilation and access must be established before the cabinetry is specified.

Do I get drawings before committing to anything?

Yes. After the design visit you receive drawings together with a written quotation setting out the scope. Nothing is ordered and nothing is charged until you have seen both and agreed to go ahead.

What happens at the first design visit?

We look at the room, measure it properly and talk through what the furniture needs to hold and how you use the space. It helps to have a rough idea of what is going in, but it is a conversation rather than a sales appointment.

Can you remove existing fitted wardrobes first?

Yes. Taking out old units and making good the walls, floor and skirting behind them can be included in the work, so you are not left with patching to organise separately.
