Guarantee & aftercare

Our 15-year guarantee

A straightforward promise to stand behind the furniture we supply and install. For 15 years from completion we will put right covered faults in structural fitted cabinetry or in our installation workmanship. Mechanical hardware we supply and fit carries a separate 5-year guarantee.

Covered repairs, the parts needed and reasonable access visits are free. The guarantee can also pass to a later owner of the original property.

What is covered

Both periods run from the practical completion date on the final invoice or handover record, for furniture supplied and installed in normal domestic use.

15 years — cabinetry

Structural integrity of the cabinetry, shelves, fitted panels and joints we supplied, where a failure is caused by defective materials or workmanship.

15 years — our workmanship

Faults caused by our fitting or fixing. A change in taste or appearance alone is not a covered fault.

5 years — mechanical hardware

Mechanical failure of hinges, drawer runners, lift mechanisms, catches and similar functional hardware we supplied and fitted.

Repairs at no charge

Necessary parts, labour and reasonable access visits for a covered repair are free. A repair or replacement does not restart the original guarantee period.

What is outside the guarantee

Normal wear and cosmetic ageing — scratches, chips, dents, or changes in colour from use, sunlight or age. Accidental or deliberate damage, misuse, overloading, unauthorised alterations and third-party repairs.

Damage caused by leaks, persistent damp, excess heat or unsuitable cleaning products, and building movement or defects in existing walls, floors and structures. An exclusion only applies where it actually caused the issue claimed.

Fireplaces, TVs, appliances, LED strips, drivers, remotes, controls and customer-supplied products are not covered for product failure, though the manufacturer’s own warranty may apply — and if a fault was caused by the way we installed an item, our workmanship cover may still apply.

How we put things right

We assess the reported issue and, if it is covered, repair or replace the affected part. If the original item is no longer available we may use a reasonably comparable alternative.

We arrange the work within a reasonable time and keep you informed about anything that has to be ordered. If we think an issue falls outside the guarantee we will explain why, and agree the cost of any optional repair with you before carrying it out.

Making a claim

Get in touch with your name, the installation address, a description of the issue and photographs if you can. An invoice or handover record helps, though we can also check our own records. We will need reasonable access for inspection and any remedial work.

This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other remedy available by law.

Your questions answered

How long is the guarantee?

Fifteen years on structural cabinetry and our installation workmanship, and five years on mechanical hardware we supplied and fitted, such as hinges, drawer runners, lift mechanisms and catches. Both run from the practical completion date on your final invoice or handover record.

Does a claim cost anything?

No. For a covered repair, the parts, the labour and reasonable access visits are all free. If something falls outside the guarantee we will explain why and agree any cost with you before doing the work.

What if I sell the house?

The cover stays with the original installation at its original address, and can be claimed by a later homeowner with reasonable evidence of the installation.

Are lights and fireplaces covered?

Not for product failure. LED strips, drivers, remotes, controls, fireplaces, TVs, appliances and anything you supplied yourself fall under their own manufacturer warranties. If a fault was caused by the way we installed an item, our workmanship cover may still apply.

Who carries out the repair?

We do. All fitting and aftercare is handled by us, so whoever comes out already knows how your furniture was built.

Is the first visit still free?

Yes. The initial discovery and design visit is completely free, with no obligation. If we go on to produce detailed drawings and the project is then cancelled, there may be a charge for that design work — we will always tell you before that point.
