Fitted Furniture for Worcester Homes
Crawford Bespoke Interiors designs and fits bespoke furniture for homes across Worcester, a cathedral city on the Severn, with a wide mix of housing. With Georgian and Victorian properties near the centre, with interwar and modern housing further out in the area, most rooms benefit from something made for them rather than bought to fit.
Our base is in Bromsgrove, a direct run south down the A38. We draw and specify the furniture, trusted specialist partners precision-manufacture the components, and it is installed to our standards. There is no charge for the design visit and no obligation afterwards.
Fitted furniture for every room
The work below covers most of what we are asked for in Worcester. In practice, plenty of projects run across several rooms at once.
Fitted wardrobes for real bedrooms
Storage planned around your clothes rather than a standard carcass size — fitted wardrobes, drawer banks and dressing rooms. In Worcester, where Georgian and Victorian properties near the centre, with interwar and modern housing further out are typical, the arrangement inside is usually what makes the difference.
Media walls and living room storage
A fitted media wall hides the cabling and the boxes, and gives the room a proper focal point rather than a screen balanced on furniture.
Studies and home working space
Fitted office furniture sized around monitors, files and printers rather than a standard desk depth that never quite fits.
Alcove units and fitted shelving
Fitted alcove units measured individually, because the recesses either side of a breast are almost never the same width. Window seats, understairs storage and boot rooms too.
Made for the way Worcester homes are built
Worcester covers a lot of ground and the housing varies sharply between the older central streets and the newer estates, so the right approach in one part of the city is often the wrong one a mile away.
Measured for the room as it is
With Georgian and Victorian properties near the centre, with interwar and modern housing further out, out-of-square corners and uneven floors are simply part of the job. Measuring the room as it really is — rather than as it should be — is what keeps the joins tight. Nearby, we work in Stourbridge, Stratford-upon-Avon too; the full list of areas we cover is here.
From first visit to installation
We start with a free visit to see the room and understand how you use it. You then get drawings and a written quotation. Nothing is ordered until you are satisfied, and we manage the making and the fitting throughout.
Your questions answered
Do you cover the villages around Worcester?
Yes — we work across Worcester and the surrounding Worcestershire villages, as well as north towards Bromsgrove and Droitwich.
How much does fitted furniture cost?
It depends entirely on size, materials and complexity, so we do not publish a price list that would only mislead. You get a written quotation after the design visit, with the scope set out, and no obligation to proceed.
How disruptive is the installation?
Fitting is done room by room and the space is protected while we work. Most single-room projects are installed in a few days, and we tidy as we go rather than leaving it all to the end.
Who actually makes the furniture?
Every project is designed and managed by Crawford Bespoke Interiors, with the components precision-manufactured to our drawings by trusted specialist partners. We check the work before it is professionally installed to our standards, so there is one point of responsibility from the first visit to the last adjustment.
How do I know what storage I actually need?
Most people underestimate hanging and overestimate shelving. Part of the design visit is going through what you own and how you use it, so the layout suits reality rather than a generic split.
