Designed around your home.

Display Units

Give your favourite pieces a place in the room. Bespoke display units can combine visible shelves with useful cupboards for crockery, glassware and the things you use when entertaining.

Based in Bromsgrove, Stuart Crawford brings over 10 years of industry experience to homes across Worcestershire and the surrounding region.

Let the contents guide the arrangement

The size and purpose of the collection influence shelf spacing and depth. We consider the balance of display and hidden storage alongside the proportions of the wall and nearby furniture.

Open display

Plan useful heights for the objects you want to show. Larger pieces and groups of smaller items may need different shelf arrangements.

Enclosed storage

Cupboards can hold everyday tableware or items you prefer to keep out of sight. Practical access and suitable shelf loads matter.

Lighting & finishes

Discuss how lighting might highlight the display and how the furniture finish relates to the dining room. Power access should be considered early.

Plan your project

Photographs, approximate dimensions and a few ideas help us understand the space. We will discuss the proposed layout, materials and practical constraints before agreeing the scope and specification.

Useful details to share

  • Photograph or measure larger display pieces.
  • List crockery and other items needing enclosed storage.
  • Consider views from the table and adjoining rooms.

Consider the finishing details

Knobs, handles and lighting can be considered alongside your main design. We can also discuss internal fittings and surfaces where they are relevant to the way your furniture will be used.

Your questions answered

Can a display unit combine shelves and cupboards?

Yes. A combination can balance personal display with practical storage. We will discuss the proportions around your room and contents.

Can lighting be included in the design?

Lighting can be considered with the cabinetry. Positions, power access and the suitable fittings are agreed as part of the specification.

Do I get drawings before committing to anything?

Yes. After the design visit you receive drawings together with a written quotation setting out the scope. Nothing is ordered and nothing is charged until you have seen both and agreed to go ahead.

What happens at the first design visit?

We look at the room, measure it properly and talk through what the furniture needs to hold and how you use the space. It helps to have a rough idea of what is going in, but it is a conversation rather than a sales appointment.

Can you remove existing fitted wardrobes first?

Yes. Taking out old units and making good the walls, floor and skirting behind them can be included in the work, so you are not left with patching to organise separately.
