Worktops & Surfaces

Choose a surface that suits the tasks it will support. Worktops and furniture surfaces need to be considered for their appearance, dimensions and everyday care as part of the wider design.

Based in Bromsgrove, Stuart Crawford brings over 10 years of industry experience to homes across Worcestershire and the surrounding region.

Let the way you use it guide the choice

A desk, utility worktop and display surface face different demands. We discuss the intended use, exposure to moisture or heat and the finish you prefer before confirming suitable options.

Purpose & dimensions

Think about the working area you need and any equipment it must support. Depth, edges and access all affect practical use.

Material & finish

Compare the desired appearance with durability and care requirements. The available materials are confirmed for the project specification.

Connections & installation

Joints, wall junctions and any cut-outs need to be considered alongside the cabinetry and equipment, with specialist requirements coordinated where necessary.

Plan your project

Photographs, approximate dimensions and a few ideas help us understand the space. We will discuss the proposed layout, materials and practical constraints before agreeing the scope and specification.

Your questions answered

Can a surface be chosen to match the fitted furniture?

Yes. A coordinated or contrasting finish can be discussed, with the intended use guiding material suitability.

Can worktops be included in a utility room project?

Yes. The work surface can be planned with storage and appliances. Dimensions, access and any plumbing-related requirements need to be agreed together.

Can I see examples of your work?

There are examples across the site, and our bespoke projects page shows one-off pieces in more detail. We can also talk through comparable projects during the design visit.

Do you work to a fixed price?

The written quotation sets out the agreed scope and price. If something changes once work is under way — usually because of what is found behind an old unit — we tell you before doing it rather than afterwards.

How do I get started?

Get in touch through the contact form or by phone and we will arrange a design visit at a time that suits. The visit is free and there is no obligation to proceed.
